Acquisition
In April 2021, Datamine, a subsidiary of Vela Software Group, acquired Qmuzik Technologies. This strategic acquisition aimed to enhance Datamine’s offerings in the manufacturing and mining industries by leveraging Qmuzik’s deep domain expertise and established software solutions. Qmuzik operates as a standalone business within the Vela Mining Group, with Jan Small continuing as CEO. The company has 61 staff located in Johannesburg, South Africa, working across two product lines:
Qmuzik ERP: Serves the complex enterprise resource planning requirements of the manufacturing, aerospace, and defense sectors.
Qmed: An occupational health and hygiene solution (Electronic Medical Record) with a leading market share in the South African mining industry.
